How thieves operate

Don;t assume that your laptop is safe when it's on a cable lock. Watch some of the techniques used by thieves to take your computer, even when it is protected by a cable lock.

Thieves don't need bolt cutters to cut a laptop lock. A multitool, easily conceiled,  suffices to do the job.

Even without any tools, thieves can take your laptop. Often, the laptop itself remains unharmed, although some damage to the cable lock socket might occur.
